Norfolk and Suffolk Music Hub are delighted to be working with Young Sounds UK’s ‘Connect’ programme.
Young Sounds UK believe that although talent is everywhere, the knowledge of opportunities available is not.
Their Connect programme allows us to employ the services of a locally based professional musician to act as a short-term mentor and advisor to help children and young people find the next step in their musical development.
This tailor-made support is available to all children and young people in Norfolk and Suffolk, so please get in touch via the form below if you would like to know more.

Tom Appleton
Young Sounds UK Connector for Norfolk and Suffolk Music Hub
I grew up in rural East Anglia, in a thoroughly unmusical family! I was incredibly fortunate that a teacher saw something in my musical potential at a young age and helped signpost me towards some amazing musical opportunities.
By the age of 21 I was performing with the ‘World’s Best Choir’ – The Monteverdi Choir – at Carnegie Hall in New York, and then sang solos with them at the Royal Albert Hall in the BBC Proms.
Now, I work almost exclusively in Norfolk and Suffolk and love helping young people and their families connect with some of the great local, regional, and national musical opportunities available to them.
Do get in touch if you or your young person are looking to take that next step, and are a bit stuck! I’m here to help.
