SENDfest will bring together children, young people and their families across two days.
Choose your vibe from either a more chilled day with quieter activities or a full-scale festival-style experience – have it your way! Both days will feature workshops, exploration activities and a picnic in the park with a retro feel.
SENDfest is an event for young people under the age of 25 and will feature multisport activities, musical workshops, vocational opportunities PFAL workshops and keynote speakers for families, children and young people with SEND.
A trade area, live demonstrations and even a fully functioning railway will mean the day will be one not to forget!

Workshop choices
It’s now time to let us know which workshops you would like to attend as part of SENDfest. Please scroll below if you would like to find out more about each workshop.
Please highlight your top four choices for the day – you will be able to attend two workshops, with the 3rd workshop slot being allocated as an opportunity to explore the site and all of the other fantastic experiences on offer, such as: animal centre exploration, marketplace, emergency services demonstrations, light railway, face painting, pop-up performances, and so much more!

Workshop Information:
Equine Exploration and Animal Centre
Join us for a guided tour of the equine and animal centres – meet the horses and small animals to find out first hand how they are looked after here at Easton College!
This activity will involve some interaction with the animals but young people who would like to meet the animals yet are feeling slightly anxious can be supported by our lovely site team on the day itself.
Floristry
Come along and learn how to make basic flower arrangements at this interactive workshop led by the Easton College team who would love for you to join them for this unique experience.
Track & Play
Relax in your carriage and join us in bringing our amazing train set to Easton College station for the day. Tunnels, garages and bridges are all part of our tracks and with so many things for young people to interact and play with, as well as enjoying simply watching the trains whizz around the tracks.
Why not pop along and enjoy this incredible installation for yourselves – without all the tidying up afterwards!
Beatboxing
Dean Yhnell aka Beat Technique will be running highly entertaining and engaging Beatbox sessions at this year’s SENDfest, showing us his unique vocal percussion skills and breaking down the process of how each sound is made.
Sound levels in this activity will be moderate but ear protection/ear defenders may be worn throughout the activity.
DJing
Join us for this interactive workshop and take the first steps in your journey to becoming a DJ. The workshop will give young people the know-how to start mixing their favourite tracks and a taster of the dedication involved in making it as a ‘pro’! Plus, it’s just incredibly good fun!!
This activity will involve moderate noise levels, although these levels will be minimal, but ear protection and ear defenders can be utilised as part of this activity.
Sound and Senses
Come and find your sound! Explore different digital instruments to see what suits you best. Play for yourself in headphones, with others in headphones or with others on speakers. Compose, perform, listen and play.
Participants will be able to experiment with a wide range of technologies and sounds to compose and improvise both on headphones or out loud on speakers.
Sound levels will generally not be higher than voices and headphones are available for all instruments.
Soundbath
Soundbath for relaxation using a variety of instruments – everyone welcome whether it is your first time or you have taken part before. Mats and blankets will be provided so you can be comfortable either sitting or lying down while we immerse you in good vibrations allowing the mind and body to calm. There will be music involved in this class but it will be at a moderate level and ear defenders can be worn if required.
DEAF Rave
Deaf Rave provides entertainment with music, sign song and visual performances uniting everyone through the love and passion for music.
We are waiting for you to join us in this epic fully inclusive rave experience! This experience will include coloured disco lighting but no strobe effects. Vest packs will need to be worn for this workshop to enable the sound vibrations to be felt and experienced.
Football Fun Factory
The Football Fun Factory was created to provide incredible childhood football experiences for young people of all ages and ability levels. Our mission is to use the nation’s passion for football as a vehicle for child development. We believe that the focus should not be simply on development or progression… we should be focusing on having fun!
Our ethos is all about creating an incredible environment where children can express themselves, play, make friends and have an amazing time!

Adapted Boxing and Exercise
Join our live demo boxing class run by ABLE2B’s Rachael who will be joined by Jon Thaxton (former British and European Boxing Champion) for an opportunity not to be missed!
Able2B Practical Session
Able2B is a community interest company set up to develop services that help improve function for children and adults with a disability.
The workshops will be practical in nature and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the types of services on offer.
Get Started With Socials (Sunday 2nd June only)
Join the TikTok sensation Tommy for a once in a lifetime opportunity to find out how to get started on social media – this session will offer the opportunity for Q&A with lots of tips, tricks, do-s and don’ts when it comes to socials!
Yoga Rap
Anyone welcome, even if you’ve never done yoga (or rap!!) before.
This unique class is set to a soundtrack of ambient hop hop music with all of the instructions delivered in rap and spoken word. The class includes breathing, warm-ups, dynamic flows and relaxation. There will be some music involved in this class but it will be at a moderate level and ear defenders can be worn if required.
EDIBLE EAST: Sensory Exploration, Handshapes and Printmaking
Edible East workshops and projects combine art, science and horticulture to promote dialogue for a healthy planet and healthy people.
Sensory Exploration: A sensory exploration of all the different parts of a plant using a ‘show and tell’ table and taking that experience on to create your own imaginary collage plant, finishing off with sowing a real plant to take away.”
Handshapes: Draw around stencils of British Sign Language ‘handshapes’ to tell a visual story of people and creatures in a landscape.
Printmaking: Watch the visual magic happen – a visual and tactile printmaking activity using real plants. Having fun with colour to create amazing botanical prints! (Take away your own printed t-shirt or bag.)
Circus Skills
Join the Oak Circus Centre for an inclusive workshop with all the fun of the fair. This workshop is suitable for all abilities and is a fun filled, interactive introduction to circus skills through play and games taking into account the different needs and abilities of the group.
Shadow Puppetry
Garlic Theatre’s Shadow Puppet workshop is an inspirational experience for all abilities – the finished puppets always look fantastic on a big screen so the sky really is the limit when it comes to creativity here!
We really hope you can join us to make your own shadow puppet and help us create our very own story!
Cake Decorating
Join the team from Easton College to learn how to decorate cakes and cupcakes in this interactive, family friendly session…unleash your creativity and be inspired to take what you have learnt home to add some extra flair to your baking!
Art Mural
Join with us and help make SENDfest history by contributing to our incredible art installation mural which will be created by young people throughout the festival and then displayed locally as an incredible artistic reminder of our fabulous day.
Inclusive Dance for Active Sensory Movers
An inclusive dance environment for high energetic movers, who enjoy moving to music with sensory equipment and enjoying lots of space! Join in activities such as fun dance games, parachutes and popping bubbles! Enjoy all your favourite tracks, free styling and learning dance routines, including visual resources and sign language. Opportunities for everyone to thrive and enjoy a safe dance environment.
Sensory Dance and Movement – Specialising for PMLD and Gentle Movers
A safe, calm environment to enjoy movement to music through our senses. Explore fun activities to all your favourite tracks. Dance routines and activities, stretching our bodies and moving to music with fun dance equipment, lights, sounds and textures.
British Sign Language Choir – Reach for the stars!
Do you enjoy sign language? How about learning signs to music! In a safe and warm environment, learn new signs to build into one of our favourite songs ‘Reach for the stars – S Club 7’. Accessible for everyone and learning at everyones pace. Come and join us and let’s all sign together!
Melodic Moves
Imagine making music just by moving your head! This innovative workshop uses cutting-edge facial recognition software to turn head bobs into musical notes. It’s a playful way to explore the magic of music and learn about action and reaction, all through sound. A symphony of fun awaits! There will be music involved in this class but it will be at a moderate level and ear defenders can be worn if required.
Touch Tunes Playlab
Dive into a world where touch brings music to life! Using the Touch Me device and everyday items like paper or tinfoil, you can make music by touching everyday objects.
