On Sunday 26 January, Nicholas Daniel will be holding a masterclass with selected oboe students from Norfolk and Suffolk.

Nicholas Daniel’s weekend of concerts contrasts a programme of music for piano and winds with one for oboe and strings.
Saturday evening’s concert includes the premiere of a new piece by Alexander Goehr specially commissioned for the occasion by Norfolk & Norwich Chamber Music.

This CPD event is available free of charge to all schools signed up to any Hub Subscription Package or £75 otherwise.
The session caters for those already familiar with Musical School but looking to extend their use and knowledge of the award-winning programme. We will explore the range of resources it provides, how to create and share lessons with your classes, its Assessment Framework, Creative Apps, Song Centre and more.

Soloists and smaller ensembles from Sistema in Norwich will perform a range of pieces, showcasing the students’ exceptional development as a musical ensemble. In this intimate and special concert, young musicians are given a platform to express their own voices and musicality.

We are offering young jazz players a free opportunity to attend a Masterclass with BBC Big Band at Norwich Theatre Royal, followed by an opportunity to watch an Open Rehearsal ahead of the concert.
The Masterclass is suitable for more advanced jazz players, however the Open Rehearsal may also interest beginner or intermediate players.

Are you interested in playing in bands, songwriting and meeting other young musicians?
Our Saturday ‘Skool’ sessions are returning and will provide young people the opportunity to jam together, get tuition from our professionals, learn how to use digital recording equipment and develop your own songwriting skills in a fun and relaxed environment.
No experience required. If you have your own instrument bring it along but don’t worry if you don’t as plenty will be provided.
There will be 3 sessions in the Summer term, 25 April, 6 June, 4 July 2020.
