Learn how to get started and get creative with the Ten Pieces repertoire in our free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops for teachers. Led by music education specialists and BBC musicians in venues across England.
Description: This friendly interactive CPD training session will give primary teachers practical ideas to bring music into all parts of the school day. It doesn’t matter how musical you think you are – you will leave the day with new ideas and confidence to help pupils to get creative with classical music.
This training will demonstrate ways to use the BBC’s Ten Pieces resources to support music making in primary schools, and how to use Ten Pieces to help deliver the KS2 curriculum.
The sessions will be delivered by Sam Glazer and supported by musicians from the BBC orchestras or BBC Singers.
Who is it for? This CPD session is aimed at KS2 classroom teachers and is particularly suitable for non-specialist teachers who may lack confidence delivering music.
Session structure: In person, 3 hours including a short break (except Bradford where duration is 75 mins)
PLEASE NOTE: Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. If a session is oversubscribed we will limit places to one allocation per school and will give priority to those that have not attended Ten Pieces CPD session before. We will let you know whether your application has been successful between 2 and 3 weeks before the date of the event.
