Sheet music on music stand at orchestral workshop event

Our annual performances at the Norfolk County Music Festival is finally almost here again!

For new members in the bands, this forms part of our regular spring term performance opportunities.

The music festival is a non-competitive opportunity to play to an audience and listen to an adjudicator comment on an ensemble’s performance.

Please see below the information needed for each event:


Tuesday 8th March, 7pm – 9pm at St Andrews Hall, Norwich

Training Wind Band
Class Time: 1900 (finishes at 2100)
Concert etiquette: Dark trousers/skirt & white shirt

Norfolk Schools Wind Band
Class Time: 1900 (finishes at 2100)
Concert etiquette: Dark trousers/skirt & white shirt

County Symphonic Wind Band
Class Time: 1900 (finishes at 2100)

Wednesday 16th March. 6.30pm – 9pm at Peter Mancroft Church, Norwich

Norwich Training Strings – Session 1 (18:30-19:30)
Class Time: 1830 (class finishes at 1930)

Norwich String Ensemble – Session 1
Class Time: 1830 (class finishes at 1930)

Norfolk County Strings – Session 2 (19:45-2100)

Thursday 17th March, 7.15pm – 9.3pm at CNS School, Norwich

Norfolk Students’ Jazz Orchestra
Class Time: 19:15-21:30

Parents and supporters are warmly encouraged to come along and listen to the festival performance. It costs £3.50 to be in the audience and watch any session at the Festival. This includes a free Day Programme which gives information for the day’s classes.

Please do make sure that students sign in at the door on arrival and sign out when leaving, and please arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for your group.
