We are delighted to partner with Live Music Now for this academic year to offer a series of live performances that you can stream straight into your classroom or access after the event for 28 days to view at your leisure.
These concerts will be delivered online via Zoom.
We are excited to offer both a Mainstream and Special School series. Further information can be found below. You can choose to opt in for access to all the sessions or book onto those that are most suitable for your setting.
Mainstream series
Our Mainstream Musical Mondays take place from 1.15pm–2pm and feature six performances across the academic year, introducing pupils to an exciting range of musicians, instruments, genres and musical traditions.
Alice Phelps – 12 October
Alice Phelps is a classical crossover double bassist and vocalist who creates genre-bending music for curious minds. She releases original music as Phellotape and plays double bass with ensembles including The Untold Orchestra, Kaleidoscope Orchestra and The Northern Film Orchestra.
Angharad Jenkins & Patrick Rimes – 7 December
Award-winning musicians Angharad Jenkins and Patrick Rimes combine violins and vocals with their love and knowledge of Welsh folk music. Expect vibrant playing, beautiful vocal harmonies and a traditional take on some festive favourites.
Apollo’s Cabinet – 25 January
Apollo’s Cabinet are a flexible Baroque ensemble dedicated to bringing early music to a wider audience. Winners of major international competitions for their innovative programmes, they combine acting, dancing, poetry and fun to bring historical performance to modern audiences.
Clara Pople – 15 March
Clara Pople is a vocal looper creating intricate, evocative music that isn’t defined by genre. Using just her voice and a loopstation, Clara creates everything from dark bass lines and syncopated beatboxing rhythms to six-part harmonies.
Amruta Garud – 26 April
Amruta Garud is a vocalist and performer of tanpura, harmonium and Indian percussion. Having studied Indian classical music at Nagpur University, she performs a range of ancient and modern Indian styles, from Bhajans and Bollywood to folk music from East and West.
Brass for Africa – 28 June
For a very special Musical Mondays on Tour performance, join Brass for Africa live on location. Their musicians perform and teach music to young people in communities across Rwanda, Liberia and Uganda, bringing lively and joyful performances to new generations.
Special Schools series
Our Special Schools Musical Mondays take place from 2–2:45pm, with three performances across the academic year.
Small Town Jones – 23 November
Small Town Jones are Jim Jones and Dave Little, an indie-folk duo from Devon. They perform acoustic original songs inspired by the rolling hills and storm-lashed coast of their home.
Rise Duo – 1 March
Rise Duo combine close vocal harmonies with flute, keyboard and cajon. Drawing on a wide range of influences, Pip and Mickey perform vibrant original music alongside acoustic arrangements of familiar favourites.
Boubakiki – 14 June
Boubakiki create highly varied music drawing from classical, jazz, folk and non-Western traditions. Joe on saxophone and Rosie on handpan perform original material developed through collaborative composition, arrangements and improvisation, making the most of their unusual combination of instruments.
How to get your Musical Mondays:
- Click the link for your series and complete the form. Please select all concerts and double-check your email address is entered correctly.
- Look out for a confirmation email from Zoom. It will contain the link that you’ll use to join every concert in the series.
- Save the concert dates in your diary and calendar, along with the Zoom link. When it’s time for a performance, simply click the link and enjoy!

Before each concert
- Live Music Now will send a reminder to music services 10-14 days in advance of each concert.
- Schools who have registered on Zoom will receive an automated reminder containing the concert link 24 hours before each performance.
After each concert
Following each concert, all registered schools will be sent:
- A copy of the recording, available for 28 days following each performance.
- A ‘Further Listening’ sheet with links so that they can discover each musical style in more depth.
- A link to a feedback form. Please complete this short feedback form after each performance.
