We are inviting pupils from your school to come to Norwich Cathedral and join in a celebration to welcome Spring!
In partnership with the Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub, Norwich Cathedral are delighted to invite 300 young people from across Norfolk and Suffolk to sing under the direction of Master of Music Ashley Grote, and perform alongside the Norwich Cathedral Choir, accompanied by the Cathedral organ.
We are inviting all children in years 2 and 3 to participate in this performance-based around songs to welcome in the Spring season.

- Monday 5th January 2026
Online sessions for classes, delivered via Teams, in which they will learn the songs with Ashley Grote (Master of Music, Norwich Cathedral):
- Thursday 22nd January, 2.00pm-2.30pm
- Thursday 5th February, 2.00pm-2.30pm
Spring Awakening Celebration! Performance day:
- Wednesday 11th February 2026, at Norwich Cathedral
- 3pm Arrive
- 3.15pm-4.15pm Rehearsal
- 4.15pm-4.50pm Break – please bring your own drinks and snacks for the children to have in the Cathedral Cloister
- 5pm Performance
- 5.45pm End
Other information
We will be able to issue one ticket per child attending for schools to disseminate amongst families, this performance will also be live streamed via a private link for families to view.
Schools will be asked to learn the repertoire off by heart ahead of the performance.
Please note, we are only able to offer a maximum of 60 places per school.
